Two years ago the folk who don't like Chien didn't like Patrick. Not necessarily saying they were wrong about either or both but be careful what you wish for because their's precious few altruistic billionaires around. The one way for fans to get exactly what they want is to run the club themselves and then operate it in something like the fourth tier.
I watched the press conference live just happened to come across it while browsing french online newspapers. Gauthier was like a rabbit caught in the headlights , a young man not used to this level of press, cameras , scrutiny, more used to 1 man and his dog at press conferences, not a packed room with journalists baying for blood. he was sweating like a pig ,gulping water ,when asked a question or chien asked him if he wanted to answer, he asked him to answer ,the one or two he did he was stammering away. Chien wasn't much better, thought he was going to keel over , answering every question with the same answer, we will try our best and saying "yer know" after every word, must have said it a million times. Was incredibly embarrassing to watch. Gauthier is being ripped apart in there forums calling him a clown, strawman ,pied piper, disgusting and actually your correct telling him to leave !. theres one thread titled Ganaye Resignation he he Anyways hope the best for him,hes going to need it ,one of the bits he did say is that its always been his dream to be president of a club. not many people can dream and that dream comes true, edited: spelled his name wrong doing my 100 lines now
http://www.ogcnissa.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=28649 Don't know why they are having a go at him already talk about hard to please. Seems they need some good solid defenders with all those goals conceded....
I'd say that on the revenue generated by crowds etc we'd probably be top end of the third but what limited evidence I know of of fan run clubs they don't tend to operate that efficiently. But I'll give you operating in the third tier if you like.
I wouldn't even know where to start guessing the league. 4th tier is probably right to be honest I just wondered what made you think it.
To be honest its mostly based on someone fairly well informed about Chester who are now playing a couple of leagues below what they would see as their historic minimum.
I believe so, and Portsmouth I think. Do we think it's possible with the Reds? Is it something we want?
Don't like GG do they! http://www.ogcnissa.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=28653 Although the last one has at least worked it out:- I rarely get irritated, but here I am disgusted. With this club, disappointments I had, often. Fun too, sometimes. Hopes, a lot. But there, to hear put forward the trading of players, that m'écoeure. Of course all the clubs are trading, but they do not announce that it is a goal in itself or their reason for being. Mr. Ganaye, you run a show business and you despise the audience. It's as if you were running "Toys'r us" and telling the kids, "Santa Claus does not exist". When I think of the Gym (OGC), I want to believe in Santa Claus! In any activity we define the customer. For you the customer is not the supporter, it is the club that will buy your players. It's honest to announce it, but for me it's scorning. Cohen and Rivere made me dream, you make me want to throw up. You do not deserve us. There are days when I regret the 2nd division, at least it did not take me for an idiot. I propose to display, at the entrance to the stadium and on the jerseys, the new OGCN motto: "Buy low and sell high!" ... it makes you dream, right? (It will always be better than the crowd holding its breath) You see, when I think of you, I like nothing to be lost: Mr. Ganaye, I piss you off!
No idea really. It all depends on the knowledge and expertise of some fans. I would like to see shares sold to fans though even just a token amount
Since 2002 they've finished: 10th, 10th, 12th, 8th, 16th, 8th, 9th, 15th, 17th, 13th, 4th, 17th, 11th.... then 4th, 3rd and 8th. They are now 7th, just 6 off 3rd. I don't get the angst.
As I've posted a few times on here recently, the club behind the scenes, despite relatively doing ok on the pitch, is in turmoil. The stuff I'm reading on this thread doesn't surprise me at all. What's bizarre about the whole thing is that Chien Lee met with a prospective buyer of the club the same day that Ganaye took over as president. Vieira won't be around much longer.
Their fans (and some of ours) just equate billionaire owners with throwing money at the team and they don't get why they're not stuffing the team with multi-million € players.
