Could go up to second with a win and other results which would breed even more confidence. Need to start picking up some points away from home and no better way to get off the mark against a Preston side who haven't got off to a great start with what should be a half decent away following. Looking forward to Saturday potential of a 1st away win back in the championship move up to 2nd (were on our way back) and then brook GGG fight Saturday night. And a little game in Manchester and one in Scotland if anyone interested in that. Good day of sport
I think we're on course for our first away win on Saturday. I think we'll nick it 1-0, Hourihane second half. Then we're under the cosh abit late on in second half, but the reds being the beautiful little beings they are, weather the storm and we all come back smiling!
Historically though every time we lick our lips with forecasts of "we could go 6th or 2nd" or wherever we usually come unstuck. Be nice to buck the trend.
I'm very confident of a good result on Saturday. It's a weird feeling. I don't think I like it. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
Was thinking of one off games where, over the years, we tend to slip up. Example against Hudds this season. Had we won that we would have gone top. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
Too much respect calling a game against second bottom an hard game. That's the media training you expect from the boss, but as a fan we should be expecting a win there.
We should never be expecting a win from any away fixture in this league. The lads have to go out there and earn 3 points.
If we come away with a point all won't be lost. But as fans and with our form this year we should be full of confidence and be more expectant of this group of players now instead of trying to play it down.
PNG on saturday Actually I fly to PNG on Saturday, an hour before kick off (the adventure begins!!) Seeing the title "PNE on Saturday" made me do a double take. Joining the BFC Foreign Legion for 3 years. Just think BFC will be securely in the Prem and playing in Europe by the time I return. Believe in the Dream. COYR
1. Preston finished in the top 10 last year. 2.The league is meaningless at this stage. 3. Preston like all Grayson teams are well organised difficult to break down and it will be a hard game. 4. Oh and we are not the Wednesday missives.
1) They are second bottom this season as of now so their form is poor. 2) The league is never meaningless. We are closer to staying up than I thought we would be at this stage. 3) They have been broke down plenty this season or they wouldn't be second bottom. 4) True but since last christmas our form has been fantastic. A wonderful set of players including those no longer playing for us have of course raised expectation levels. We no longer have to fear clubs. The last time we played there they beat one of the weakest Barnsley teams I can remember us playing thanks to a dubious penalty. I'm not talking about thrashing Wolves it's only Preston
League tables mean absolutely nothing. There's nowt to be won or lost in September. I guess the game will show us who is correct. Hope you are to be honest. But I think a draw would be a good result.
