High foot apparently. Nice to be on the good end of a dodgy penalty decision for once. Twice really if you count the absolutely blatant penalty Burton didn't get in the first 10 mins.
He gave it because they stopped cavare shot with hand ,when it was 1nil ,if we had a pen then it would have been 1 all and different result, they only got their 2nd and 3rd goal because we over committed to attack for equaliser, ref once again knew he made big cocky up and thought he try least give us a chance
The one where the ref booked their player for diving? From my angle it looked a clear penalty to me but he was probably in a much better position and made his decision.
Yeah that one. It looked a definite kick from where I was, and it looked like just before that the ball struck one of our players on the hands while he was on the deck. All academic anyway.
Softest pen ever. That said I was infuriated when their keeper came out two fists direct at Callum Styles head, and the keeper gets a free kick. Anywhere else on the pitch, it's dangerous play (even without contact). How Styles got penalised is beyond me. Keepers over protected, and some.
They should have had a blatant handball penalty a few seconds earlier. The player probably thought the ref wouldn't knock back two penalty claims in a matter of seconds, so tried his luck and dived.
Would have been harsh since the player was on the floor and the ball was banged at him from close range - seen them given though. I thought the strongest penalty shout was for handball of the goalbound shot from Toby Carvery in the 2nd half. All-in-all the ref probably got it about right.
