shirt holding followed by the Bolton player throwing himself to the ground. It's a really soft one to give away (as there was no need to hold his shirt) and to be awarded, but if you do that in the area you're taking a risk. Unfortunately the ref had a clear view of it.
Thats all well and good if there is consistency, like that sort of stuff happens no end of times and gets ignored then how can you give that when we have a player lining up a header taken out in the area and the blind git says no
Who is doing the holding? Baffles me then why we didn’t get one when McBurnie had his shirt pulled so much it was nearly round his neck
Looks to me like their lad having his shirt pulled slightly, but we see that in every single corner and free kick in every game at every level. You can't just award one here and there randomly and ignore the rest
As others have pointed out, never in a thousand years would we have got one had it been the other way. We'd have been promoted by Christmas if Bradshaw was awarded a penalty every time that happened to him when he was our lone striker.
I had a sneaking suspicion it was when I saw the show pony boots Very very soft to be fair to Georgie
We can whinge all we want about unfairness and inconsistency but he gave the referee the decision to make. Nobody can rag someone's shirt and then moan when it results in a penalty. ******* idiotic.
Must be the only time Moncur got near enough to a Bolton player to touch him. He really should have been charged £32 by the club today as he was a spectator only for most of that game.
It's one of those you get and you say "definite pen", you don't get it and you rightly complain about all the ones not given.
I’d imagine the big factor is most defenders are clever & know how to do just enough to get away without giving away a pen or do it where the ref can’t see where as Moncur’s stupid enough to do it whilst the ref’s got a clear view
Well lets have some consistency then , lets give a penalty every time it happens & maybe it will stop but that will mean at least up to ten penalties a game but they will not do it . The ref clearly had an agenda with us today & couldn"t wait for an opportunity to give the spot kick
Daft thing is he's looking at the ball all the way, but it's clearly sailing over his head but he still holds the shirt. I dunno.......should he even be marking someone in that position? Stick him on a post or something.
If he’s given a pen for that, then he should have given the mcburnie one, which was less of one than the Moore one I thought.
