I don't know about a stick but I'm starting to wish that I'd bought a load of Sheffield Wednesday tops that were going cheap on ebay.
My Mrs was lucky - we do the same and were down to our last couple of rolls and was in Sainsburys when they were restocking- the lass was putting out the 2 packs so Mrs asked if they had any 9's and was told yes they were in the box to do next. She was going to carry on shopping and come back but the stacker told her is she did that they would be gone and went and got her one out first then carried on with the rest of the stacking. what I cant work out though is surely most people now have a cupboard full of bog roll so shouldnt the shelves be filling up again now The soap one is a bit more understandable - I must admit I am washing my hands a lot more than I used to - previously it was just when I had been to the bog or before preparing or eating food - Now I wash them every time I come in and a lot more often when I am out.
A guy called in LBC the other day and said he'd bought 80 rolls just incase. I don't know how genuine he was but I imagine that this is the mindset of many who panic buy. It's so unnecessary.
I've been panic buying beer all night. And panic drinking it. And now I'm panic getting pissed. It's great.
We always get two 18-packs when we are in B&M, as we don't go there very often and it's a lot cheaper. I suppose when we do that next time, we'll get some critical looks. As for hand washing, they are going so dry with all the extra washes, I've had to buy some hand lotion as well.
Yet I heard on the telly this morning that COVID19 was bringing out the best in people... On thursday I went for a job interview in Basingstoke and stopped for a pee at 3 different services (not big motorway ones, just petrol stations with shops) and none of them had any soap or handwash, there were no plugs in the basins and you had to keep one hand on the tap to keep it running. I got as far as "Happpy" and gave up....
