Don't know if anyone else has already mentioned this, but I enjoyed the Adeboyejo chant rumbling on for 5 minutes. The groans when he got subbed on annoyed me, so good to see the Ponty get behind him. The guy tries hard for the badge.
I think we have to accept that he’s not going to be, and will be given till at least the end of the month.
He’s fast, powerful and puts a 100% shift in. We’re Barnsley fans - if a player gives 100%, then fair enough. If he’s not good enough, that’s not his fault, and should still be backed. I think he can do it though. Just needs that break and confidence. VI thought so too.
Everyone wants him to do well , we all appreciate the effort & honesty he brings, however if you look through his career where ever he has played he does not score goals & if you are expecting him to bring to the team what Morris does then you are going to be disappointed , maybe his talent could be developed in another part of the pitch , possibly as a centre back , I am not sure ,but he is a good honest pro but alas he is not a striker , I hope he now goes on to prove me wrong & starts banging the goals in , we all hope he does .
He needs to play a bit more on the edge like Morris. He’s got the balance with being aggressive/nasty to play against.
Anyone else noticed 50/50 half-time draw prize money seems to have dropped significantly this season only been just over 500 quid last two home games.
They don’t seem to be selling 50/50 tickets right up to kickoff anymore and not seen anyone selling them in ponty all season so clubs missing out on a fiver a game from my mates.
With all the experience he has & the number of games he has played then expecting him to improve to be a championship striker is a big ask , as I said before we all want him to do well & I hope he proves me wrong , but he has gone past the potential stage & should be delivering but he doesn"t , he cannot dine out on that goal at Derby for ever and he seems to struggle when he starts a game & looks more dangerous off the bench ,however being an impact sub is alright in the short term but surely he wants more than that
I honestly don’t understand why he’s still at the club tbh, but whilst he is and he’s going to get minutes a needs to find another side to his somewhat limited game.
Don’t forget our owners had a checkered history with Nice fans too. I don’t think the neither care or give a toss what we really want.
Of all our players, Vic would benefit most from a loan spell somewhere in League One. There's definitely a decent player in there, and you can't fault his effort, but he's lacking any sort of confidence, which is weighing heavily on his shoulders. A run of games and a few goals and he'd come back a better player.
