Something we've missed for a while. He seems to get some really good pace and whip on them. That free kick just now was top drawer, really well struck

Definitely. Our dead balls, corners and free kicks, have often been a complete waste of time for too long.

Very unlucky with the free kick.

He’s been one of our better players yet again.

Yes, much better than Mowatt, who skied everything today. Not one of Mowatt's best games.

Oduor, Brown & Diaby probably our best 3 today.

Mowatt has been relieved of duties in that department.
    No surprises there.
IMO - he’s just not good enough for the Championship.
Don’t be surprised if he’s not in the starting lineup by the end of the season.

He's currently heading the player of the season rankings on here, so would be surprised by that.

All players have off days. We had a hard match vs Derby on Thursday, so not a big surprise many weren't at their best.

We won & that was all we needed to do. Recovery time now for Swansea, which will be a totally different kettle of fish. I think Oduor is a revelation & we need someone who can hit a dead ball, as I don't think we have anyone, other than Woodrow.

Hes nowhere near the standard of Howard, Butterfield and certainly not Conor, but hes the best playmaker we have

Mowatt is a great player for us, just not a great set piece taker. Hope Clarke can step up, unless we get another in in the window. Those time of composed set piece takers are hard to find & we may have one, which is brilliant.

Suggest you watch our second goal again. From a set piece and pay attention to who took it and landed it on Bambos head.

He’s not crap - but he ain’t good enough for Barnsley as the club moves forward.
I realise most people like him - all I will say is just take note of how often the forward play breaks down when he gets involved.
I would say he’s a good 1st Division player - but not good enough for the Championship.
We need an Hignett type in the role currently occupied by Mowatt.

9/10 to replace before Mowatt . One of the few championship standard players we have

I tend to agree with Nudger. Mowatts a decent player but he's not got enough to mark him out as consistently good at this level. He's 'ok' but ultimately not as good as is required. My opinion of course

Exactly my thoughts, decent player to have in the squad but the fact he's our only proper central midfielder again shows how poor recruitment has been.

I'm quite happy to admit I'm a big fan of Alex Mowatt. For me, he's a Championship quality player, he's our Player Of The Season as far as I'm concerned and we're a much better team team when he plays.
Others can think differently. It's their right and I'll not lose a second of sleep if my opinion is at odds with every other Barnsley fan.
