flinders in goal back four of tonge Reid Vaughan and Austin Midfield of Shuker McPhail Burns and Williams Nardiello and Hayes up front Subs Colgan, Kay, Carbon, Wroe and Conlon
Was going by whos fit and available really. If Hassle was fit though id still keep Tonge. Hes taken far less time to find his feet than Hassle did.
forgot he wasn't available but i'd go for hassell. bit of experience tho by all accounts Tonge was excellent yesterday
He was excellent. Very steady full back hes turning into. Wroe played well yesterday though no one else has mentioned it.
Not sure which game you were watching... But Wroe was terrible. He runs around a lot, but in the wrong area, almost just follows Burns around when defending. Too slow on the ball, and was found out yesterday. He will develop and he will get better, but: Shuker, R Williams, Howard, Kell, Tonge, Burns, McPhail, Kay, Reid. Those nine at least, in my opinion, would be better options in midfield than Wroe.
RE: Not sure which game you were watching... Sorry cant agree with people that jump on the "slagging off of certain players" bandwagon. Sat in front of some anti Conlon fans yesterday.
Wroe's chances Once Kell and Howard are both fit, I'm guessing Wroe will find it hard to get a first-team place at Barnsley.
Isn't that what a football forum is all about? Debating the relative merits of player A against Player B, whether the managers choice matches your opinion or not? Conlon is not our best keeper. Even if he was we would need to replace him. Why shouldn't people say that if that is what they believe?
RE: Isn't that what a football forum is all about? No Conlon is not our best keeper but I would rather have him in goal than Shuker!!ff
When Everyones fit. GK: Flinders/Colgan DR: Tonge/Hassell/Austin DL: R Williams/Austin DC: Reid/Kay/Vaughan/Carbon DC: Reid/Kay/Vaughan/Carbon MR: Shuker/Tonge ML: Howard/R Williams/Jarman MC: McPhail/Burns/Kay/Reid/Kell MC: McPhail/Burns/Kay/Reid/Kell CF: Nardi/Hayes/Conlon/Jarman/Joynes CF: Nardi/Hayes/Conlon/Jarman/Joynes --- Wroe won't make the bench. We should loan him out to League 2, or let him keep playing in the reserves and see how he develops. He's not ready for First team football in league 1, in my opinion.
I'm sorry to say but he's one of those players that never seems to get injured and the manager thinks he can be played in any midfield position, so I'm afraid we will probably see him play 20 - 25 games this season as a makeweight.
RE: Conlon is a poor striker and if hayes and nardiello keep fit will hardly ever play, get rid now. Colgan is one of the worst goalkeepers ever at Oakwell.
