Absolutely dire (as usual) Thiam bundled over and gives it the other way. Dubious handball possible penalty to Barnsley immediately before half and 3 bookings (albeit two were fair IMO ) but none to Accrington who should also have had a couple booked.
Our own BFC Nostradamus. Except that you are a bit more accurate than him, at least when it comes to Accrington Stanley away. Fryers on the march with a red. I shall look out for your further predictions. You didn't predict a second goal for us though. Was Moore offside?
One doesn’t need to be Nostradamus to predict the quality of our referees these days. I thought he was offside but didn’t think it appropriate to ‘ make a fuss’ .
Referees can often go native. Having said that, I'd have sent Zeki off with a second yellow for that challenge. Second goal looked offside to me too, but not sure whether it would've got there under its own steam anyway. Stonking result that one.
Had him at home to Gillingham.... https://www.soccerbase.com/referees/referee.sd?referee_id=1878 After today I don't want to see him a third time. We are used to bad refs but that's the most for a long time I have felt the ref was persuaded to give home decisions by so much unsporting behaviour from Stanley players. It was so bad I lost a bit of interest in hoping they have a good season.
For me A booking or not is irrelevant. He wasn't going to book him until the players surrounded him. Soft decision in the extreme
That's how I feel as it took the shine off a good day; they had the referee on their side and it seemed like ten against 12.
Dunno how their number 9 didn't get booked for diving. The second time he got warned but still avoided a yellow. Then the time their player jumped over the top of I think Pinnock like he was after a piggyback and should have been booked, but got the foul.
Watching on ifollow it seemed the same way, that McConville spent more time in the refs ear than playing football, maybe if he’d concentrated on his game he might have actually done something. Oh well, a well deserved win and we roll on.
