Didn't he also hurl a volley of abuse at one of the officials? I know they often deserve abuse but if he thinks that he's on the shitty end of decisions he needs to try walking in the shoe's of managers lower down the pyramid. He needs a reality check.
As MK says I believe it's more about abusing the officials than kicking a bottle. He's a poor loser who tries to deflect from the decencies of himself and his teams by sonetimes questionable behaviour. It's reasonable to call them on it.
