I think it's more to do with us having a bit more cash than when we signed Moncur, he was the best in the market we shopped in, now we're shopping in a different market. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
What would Jesus do? Seems to me he's not good enough - or doesn't think he is - for the Championship. Not quite sure how going back to the level he has just left behind will help him progress to a higher level.
Re: moncour In a league game our chances of playing him and Conor in the same side are extremely slim. The chances of him playing instead of our best player this century is even slimmer. Conor might get injured and he gets his chance, but he's done back to back seasons of 50 plus games and is ever present this season so considering what a machine fitness wise the guy is that's not very likely to happen either. We moan about guys at clubs not just ours who are happy to sit in the reserves or on the bench on big money. I'm sure ourseleves will have been turned down by similar guys over the years. He realises that he's very little chance of playing for us so good on him wanting to play regular football. He hasn't come a couple of hundred miles north to be an unused sub all the time. If he'd played the odd 20-30 minutes here and there maybe he'd not have asked to leave.
Teams have just been announced and guess what, he's on the bench! https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Cra5M9xXYAAjSJL.jpg:large
Well, he's on the bench again today. Hope he has a good run of games and comes back chomping at the bit, in January.
Quite short, dyed blonde hair and quite slim I guess. Oh sorry, you didn't mean it lime that did you. My bad. Yeah he looks good in blue, it really bring out the colour of his eyes.
His body language is poor - very "all about me". Strolls about off the ball unless theres a chance it might head his way. Demanding a late free kick too. Only watched him because of what I've read on here, he's no loss.
I've spoke a lot on this subject but that's the first time I've seen him play . They played him on the left side of midfield ,the lad looked like a fish out of water . I reckon he's a number 10 or nowt . His positioning was poor as was his tracking back .
Let's be honest some of our fans clamoured for us to sign him on one decent game against us at Oakwell. Some of the comments about him being disinterested when things not going his way etc during a game are exactly what some Colchester fans said about him when he joined us. Needs to buckle down and realise he needs to work hard if he wants to have a decent career. Personally think we might only see him at Oakwell again laiking for someone else.
