I don’t get it with this flare throwing trend.
Where do the yobs get them from anyway ?
Can you just walk into a flare shop and buy them ?

I remember growing up with 7 foot fencing all around the pitch, and a lot of very high netting behind the goals as well. I wonder if they'll start to make a comeback in places.

The crowd were a powder keg ready to explode, and the keeper chucking the flare back at them was the match.

Big controversy in Australian football at the minute. Their season ends in a grand final, and whoever finishes highest traditionally hosts the big game. The Australian FA signed a deal with the New South Wales tourist board recently for $10m AUD for Sydney to have exclusive hosting rights for this match, against the wishes of the fans, clubs, players, etc. In this match there was a planned mass walkout, and it was at this moment the fans started chucking flairs in a very nasty atmosphere. Keeper chucked one back, all hell broke loose.

Fans getting violent over it is just brain dead. Probably a significant amount of ale involved , no excuse.

Thought this was going to be thread about the town of Melbourne near Derby! It's a bit too posh for events carrying on like that.
