Could've punctured a lung! Should be a 10 game ban for that. Worst foul Ive ever had the misfortune to witness.

I really hope you're taking the wee wee with that comment...

He was a silly boy but he wouldn't have punctured a balloon

It was a pathetic stamp but if the ref sees it then he's going to give a red card. It was a stupid thing to do.

Still a red card. Compare it to Beckham's in 98 against Argentina. He wasn't going to hurt anyone but it was immaturity and petulance right in front of the referee.

I am taking the wee wee. His leg got tangled as he tried getting his balance. As it's the Championship, teams like Barnsley cannot commit atrocities such as this against established teams like Forest.

My view via TV3 Sport in Denmark was that he tried to avoid stamping.

Are people seriously trying to justify that as "trying to regain his balance?" He knew what he was doing, and correctly got sent off. Utterly stupid.

What galls though is that Winnall has had this happen to him at least twice this season, with no punishment for the opposition. Referees, for whatever sordid reason, have it in for us this season.

If we're going on silly reds that refs have made before to deem that nothing incident as a red, why don't we go the whole hog and not give reds for elbows and penalties for body slams in the box

It wasn't even stamp. He didn't raise his foot and he barely touched him. If you look closely the guy was underneath Marley and as he was coming over him he made contact with his leg this put the brakes on Marley and he started to lose his balance. He did touch the player and it was the lightest of touches. As for the penalty the Forrest player threw himself at the red shirt.

No, he's admitted himself it was stupid and gave the ref no choice.
