    Agree, that why I said perception, people have short memories so they don’t remember the fact they were hovering around edge of playoffs end of last year

    I’m arguing that’s what posters in Mackems site are saying not what I’m saying .
    If you read all the posts you’ll see.
    I’m saying the seasons not over to say they deserve to go up.

    Some achievement by Luton to maintain top spot most of the season, especially on the back of promotion from league two last season and with a smaller budget than most teams in this division.

    It would be an even greater feat by us to knock them off the top and be crowned champions by 4th May

    Exactly my point
    If we at the END of the season and not on 44 games go up we will be the most consistent and deserve to go up also if Sunderland win all theirs and Luton don’t then Sunderland deserve to go up as well aka Pompey .
    I cannot concede that Luton deserve to go up because they are the most consistent at the 44 game stage as some are doing and what my rant is about .
    Whoever finishes first and second on 46 games will deserve to go up automatic . And whoever wins the playoff final will deserve to go up whatever position they finish .
    Luton have done well so far but don’t deserve anything YET

    i did say after we played Luton at Oakwell that I thought they'd be contenders but I also think they'll be relegation fodder in the championship.
    Must be so disappointing for Sunderland fans when a big club like theirs is stuck behind relative minnows in the third tier of English football
