M1 blocked - avoid

    Traffic stuck in both directions around 37. Tailing back to past Darton and Thorpe Hesley. Not moved since 1.45 pm . Reason unknown.

    Just looked on a traffic camera website, it appears the M1 is closed in both directions between the Dodworth and Birdwell junctions. Shut off by police though rather than roadworks.

    Tell me about it. Driving south at 1:40 pm I thought I'd get off at J37 rather than J 38; bad decision, took me 50 minutes to get from Pogwell Lane bridge to the Dodworth turn off.

    This happens on a regular basis , when there is a problem on the M1 Hoyland Common gets completely gridlocked, cannot wait until The biggest distribution centre in Europe opens as well ( Herpes ) just to add to the total chaos .

    wasting their time anyway, apparently grounds been packed full since Saturday morning,
    Fans sat on one another’s shoulders on stand roof since Sunday dinner all pubs with a telly booked for a 200 mile radius and live video feeds in all major cities full!

    It’s nose to tail on the Tay Road Bridge. Plenty cars and buses with blue and white scarves out of the windows.
    Apparently the queue stretches past Edinburgh all the way to Berwick and beyond.

    I got off at this junction one day last week and the traffic was queing well back onto the motorway...I can see a major accident happening there
