Even when you lost your manager, it was still the same group of players who all knew their jobs within the team, so I still thought you'd go up. Then you made your squad stronger with some shrewd January signings and kept hold of your better players. On your crowds/budget you've done excellent to be above all us that are chasing behind you for second. Hopefully get the chance to visit your ground next season as you won't be there much longer. Would have gone this season if it wasn't the date it was.
Bet the irony hasn't escaped Cameron McGeehan ... Leaving Luton for a "bigger" club to further his career. Our 4 cast offs flying into the championship and us with every chance of still being in League 1 next season.. in the worst form of all the top 6
That would be awesome. They should all skip across the pitch then kerb crawl round town in the evening.
Got to be fishing here seen as this is the first time he's contributed a goal or assist since mid february?
I wouldn’t describe McGeehan’s situation as Irony at all. Without wanting to sound all Dee Darr here, he did leave for a bigger club. He also climbed 2 divisions when he came here. Things change quickly in football and what Luton have done this season is very admirable and fair play to them they’ve carried the momentum from last season. Why the dig at our club for releasing players that weren’t commanding regular places?
Pleased for Luton, pleased for our ex-players - I always liked Luke Berry & especially Matty Pearson! Moncs is an outstanding player who I gather is lovely off the pitch - pity it didn’t work out here - fitness might have been an issue but successive managers don’t seem to want to start him (here & at Luton)
I'll suggest it, sounds fun. It's been an amazing season that none of us would have predicted unless on drugs
Agreed. I'd be very surprised if those 4 players were championship quality. Certainly didn't pull up many trees with us. The real irony is that McGeehan probably is.
