I thought that Derby draw we showed that bit of fight and desire
I didnt go to Brentford but I understand it was dire but I still think if the club didnt trust Daniel to do the job then we should have parted company end of last season or else give him the full season.

The fickleness of many of our fans never fails to amaze me. Making out Stendel was inept, ridiculous. You should probably look at the players he had available to him in them first 16 games & that they’d only just started playing together as to why results were poor.

As for concentrating on those that want to be here, none of our players want to be here. They all want to put together a run of form that gets them a better move. If Brentford were in for Woodrow last summer & offering him a huge salary increase like they did Pinnock do you think he’s wanting to stay & sign & new deal? Of course not. I’ll guarantee you neither Woodrow or Mowatt sign a new deal because they’ve both now done enough to earn a move on far better wages.

It’s the same with Struber, just like Stendel he’s left his family behind. He’s not here for love, he’s here to further his career. If a club offering more money come in for him he’ll want to be off.

But let’s give up with the ‘everyone’s ****’ when they go narrative, it’s pathetic.

Unfortunately ex-players will always get brought up, especially when we sell to rivals in our own division. The only way of stopping that is to stop selling our best players to rivals. It’s that simple but I realise in some cases we probably have to.

But we didn’t and yes it’s both the owners strategy and recruitment that should be scrutinised severely as we didn’t just buy 4 players of decent promise to replace the sound defence we sold to the first bidder for bang average championship fees did we? No, the owners crossed all their fingers and flooded the squad with cheaper punts on long contracts (something they have later admitted being guilty and made the mistake of) without diligently replacing the better players sold, hence severely weakening the team and our chances of remaining in the championship at the same time. They took the Cryne plan and put it on class A drugs and have made a right cake and arse of it!

A bloody 10 year old with a full panini sticker album could’ve done a better job of assembling a team fit for this division in comparison .

As I’ve said in a previous post, if we stay up with Struber and this team it will be almost miraculous however it will also be total blind luck and fortune by these owners and they will have gotten out of proverbial footballing jail imho, nothing else.

Also, if we achieve the seemingly unachievable and do stay up, should these owners persist in this transfer strategy folly to this seasons extremes next season when they clearly said they’d build steadily year on year, they will become truly indefensible liars.

Imo they haven't learnt from their mistakes as they aren't being lambasted simply for their transfer policy it's also for their communication policy and the way they treat supporters. They haven't learnt from their mistakes in this area one iota as there is still a wall of silence.
Prime example. Undisclosed fee for the fine they got recently. That's just crazy

I think that's wrong. I think sporting success and financial success are in football two totally different things.

I would say that a team who finished 4th bottom of the championship every year is more successful than one who yo-yos between the championship and league 1 but I'd also say that players in the 4th bottom team won't stand out as much and attract other clubs whilst every second season players will look great tearing up league 1 and attract the attention of other clubs and therefore bids.L For example Liam Lindsay and Adam Davies.

I understand and respect you have issues with communication that is your right personally I’m not that fussed about it.

You said in a previous post you wouldn’t be complaining if we were 10th, so it’ can’t be the policy you have an issue with it’s the selections made.
You mention about weakening a team, give me an example of any team in any league that don’t do this without throwing silly money at it, there isn’t one.
Every team almost without exception sell a top player and replace them with one slightly less.

Well I know a bit more about business than football and I’d usually concede a point fairly meekly.
But I find it difficult to accept that any Championship sides have a star striker they’d be happy to take two and a half million for (as we allegedly did for Moore).
Liam Lindsay wasn’t exactly a cash cow and Davies went for free.

the £6m a season we lose getting relegated wipes out other profits, as evidenced by our small financial loss when relegated even though we run frugally.
