Wasn’t the Italy/Spain game in Wembley with basically only British residents allowed to attend?

Genuine question, not trying to be a smart arse here

It's called making it up as you go along.

FIFA, UEFA, the EFL... they all do it.

Thing about letting fans back in, it allows us to show the world that our minority of k**b heads are world class at tarnishing our reputation (if we have much left). The kneeling before games will be the next talking point as the season is starting. The Euro / Global footballing authorities are awful at handling such things with no consistency - so are our domestic authorities too.

Trouble is what can the authorities do about all these nobheads? We have so many morons that if one gets dealt with another one will turn up. It's like Wack-a-mole!

Can we boo our own national anthem on Sunday and then fine the Italians? ;)

Completely agree about the laser pen though it had zero impact on the penalty. Somebody should have seen it and got it sorted..

As for the anthem, if England get fined for it, then it is nothing but hypocrisy virtually all other nations do it, be it right or wrong. No action taken before so why only when it is England?

Here are the perfect scots at Hampden against England.. No action then so UEFA need to take note. Punish everybody or nobody.

Yes there has to be consistency. I would also add, the throwing of water bottles onto the pitch by the Croatian fans against Spain some landing not far from the Spanish players, not even mentioned.

I know there's a 99.99999999% chance it was an England fan but as UEFA have stated that they tried and failed to identify who pointed the laser at Schmeichal then how can they fine England based on a guess that it was an England fan and not a Denmark fan trying to put Kane off? After all if Kane was looking at Schmeichal he would have seen it moving around on him, Schmeichal himself wouldn't have seen something on his cheek and chest.

Now as I said we all know itll have been a bell end England fan but nobody can be sure of that without knowing who did it

Personally I don't get the ire at booing an anthem, it's a song at the end of the day. Football gets very pompous about this sort of thing. Don't boo it if it is being played at a memorial or something but it's nothing to get worked up over.

If you get upset at the booing of an anthem because it's a lack of respect then you also have to get upset at the booing of the opposition teamsheet because it's also a lack of respect.
And I've never seen anyone on here complain about Barnsley fans booing the Sheffield Wednesday teamsheet. Not once.
