Been to watch Robin Hood at the Lawrence Batley theatre in Huddersfield. Had a great morning out and the kids loved it.
We used to go to the Sheffield Crucible panto every year with Bobby Knutt. Absolutely brilliant. I also went to see the panto at the Lyceum as an adult, which had Alan Fletcher (Karl Kennedy from Neighbours) playing Captain Hook in Peter Pan. What I'd never realised before was how many very adult jokes are chucked it! Think the only way they got away with it was that the kids didn't have a clue!
Still the same, plus many Covid related ones at Wakefield. Trying to explain pantomimes to people not native to our shores is difficult. Apparently the tradition started in Southern Italy?

So still absolutely loaded with double entendre?! Yes, to someone who has never seen a pantomime it must be extremely curious!
