I don’t think that the administrators have much of a choice if it substantially reduces debt or allows them to continue trading.
My prediction is VI will be asked about him in every press conference and says he’s one player we’re interested in. We don’t sign him and sign a forward that’s not been spoken about at all on deadline day.
If we are looking at young up-coming players in League One, we need to be looking at Kwadwo Baah at Rochdale. He will be 18 years old next week, but have a look at the two goals he scored against Charlton Athletic and the one at Wigan and he looks to be one in the making, if he can keep developing. Already 6 foot tall. He fits perfectly into a front three in terms of the physicality to hold up the ball and link in other players, but particularly in terms of running at defenders. He has obviously also got a keen eye for goal and a howitzer of a shot on him. Another one to keep tabs on, if we are after promising young strikers who will fit seamlessly into a front three.
Thank you. I didn't mean to denigrate our players with such venom. In honesty it was tongue in cheek but I did take it a bit far calling them horse manure. I wouldn't say I'm a die hard supporter but I keep my eye in.
Baah looks superb. But given Wigan's issues, they will need the money more so may be easier to get this Joseph lad. Also, the fact so many big clubs are interested must be a good sign to indicate this lad is good. The fact they are sniffing is enough to convince me that we won't get him though.
Wigan journo saying that the admins have rejected bids because they have enough money either in, or due to come in to get them through the season, so no need to sell. They've also rejected a bid from someone for Tom Pearce (is he the LB we were in for last season before we signed Odour?). That said, the number doing the rounds as the bid was 600k. That's a lot for a 19 yo with only 12 senior appearances to his name.
Pocket money for Spurs, leave them to it. Don't think we're in a position where we can risk £1m on the basis of one decent spell of games in League 1. Especially given his contract is up at the end of the season. We didn't pay that much for Kieffer Moore!
Just the sort of talent we have to be interested in and I do think we can complete. Sell him the dream of being sold on offer a decent sell on Clause. Emphasis on career development. I mean he’s not replacing Kane or Song anytime soon is he?
