Wow, that first half was terrible. The failure to defend the most basic free kick routine just makes me wonder who is coaching these players, or why they can’t do basic things? Second half much better with the change of shape, but too little too late and once again our insistence in doing the same thing over and over costs us. It’s been a miserable, expensive day. I definitely won’t be going away again this season. I’m not sure i can even face the Wednesday game. The owners don’t seen to give a ##it. Why should I?
Because they are our team, not the owners. Get yr head down. Chill tomorrow and then come out fighting next week.
I feel like this, too, and I don't miss many aways. If the board think it's acceptable not to sign a couple of competent defenders to give us a chance, I might just find it acceptable to stay in bed and listen to it on the radio of a Saturday. It worries me that I feel like this, because I don't want to give up on my club. I don't blame the players, really. They try but are not good enough, at least defensively. It's negligent - and I don't use that word lightly - to have not brought in another centre-back so that we have four. We scraped by last season with one fit striker half the time, but we got away with it. It's not good enough.
