I’d expect Wednesday to come in with a massive bid.

No idea if it would be the right move for him but Stones probably needs a move to kick start his career.

He can do better than Leeds. Could see him back at Everton, at Spurs under Jose, with Arteta at Arsenal, Chelsea, Leicester.

He's a far better player than Michael Keane who seems to be a shoe-in for England at the moment.

Its not long ago that Stones was starring at the world cup finals & you do not become a bad player over night . I think a change of clubs could be perfect for him , he has not yet reached his peak & has plenty of years in front of him . I can never understand the treatment he gets from the media, its like there is a vendetta against him , he can play great but commentators are waiting for one mistake so they can pounce, but others like Maguire for example can make error after error but are drooled over because he chest punches & has the occasional forward forage , I don"t get it .

Gone downhill since he cheated on his childhood sweetheart. Just like his team mate Kyle Walker hasn't been as good since he cheated on his Mrs by getting a reality TV bird up the duff.

I think yer right but ,I have always thought he was a yard short of pace & his positional play was suspect & could never really understand the hype about him.

City don't exactly look any better without Stones playing do they? I can't believe that he'll be behind Nathan Ake as well - now he is a bang average Premier League CB. Could see Leeds getting him on Season long loan - think it would be a good move actually. Still a great player is JS, not played his last game for England that's for sure.

He's a fairly good player but certainly not top notch in my opinion.
He always comes across as a grounded lad so the Greece thing is a strange one.

They would have to sell their half of DEE-DA land to afford him.

I agree with this. Stones had injuries this season and now seems to be out of favour. I would have said Pep may have been better off with him in the champions league side he put out last game. Stones hasn’t been poor this season but seems it’s fashionable in the press to label him as such. I’m not sure who I see as a better English centre half right now. But I think for his own career, his England place etc, then he has to move. Warming the bench at city week in week out won’t help and it seems all City’s defensive problems have been laid at his door even when he doesn’t play. I’m not sure they look like being ‘fixed’ right now even with Ake. So I think he should look for a top 5 Prem team or go abroad.

Stones won’t accomplish anything until he gets over his injury problems. He can’t seem to play twice a week, his body just keeps letting him down.

It’s a shame as him & Laporte looked an outstanding partnership before all these injuries started.
