A very bad career move imho. Chasing the money rather than ambition. Still at 29 £10m per annum for 3 or 4 years is not to be sniffed at. I hope for their sakes he can help them stay up.
there was a point for West Ham in 20/21 season he was playing absolutely brilliant but still omitted from the England squad for the euros, If he wasn't going to get picked then, then he's never going to get picked.
I have to disagree with this, Forest have made some fantastic signings so far this season. And welcoming a seasoned pro will certainly help them survive. He probably would have been on similar money in the US, so staying in the Prem with a chance to play well and get a national call up is probably the right move? He did brilliant at West ham, and with him being a free, that's probably why his wages are very high
To be fair, whether it's £80 or £200, it'll make absolutely zero difference to his lifestyle. Utterly and completely mental amount of money.
200k a week for 4 years is £41m or so. Same as paying a £30m transfer fee and 50k/week, which I don’t think anyone would call unrealistic for a newly promoted team?
