Should it be scrapped and let clubs do or die by there summer dealing.?
It seems a time for panic buying and can also be dangerous for some clubs.
Now I've no love for Birmingham as I class them of one of the Championship cheats but last night in the space of a few hours agreed a deal with a forward, the deal then collapsed, the deal then was back on so Birmingham sold a forward to a team in Spain, then in the closing minutes the deal then collapsed for the final time.
It might have been a little Karma for there cheating ways but it shows how precarious deadline dealings can be.

Never ceases to amaze me how there is a period of time to get transfers done, yet there is this frantic rush to sign players and get them registered right at the death

You're right mate.At the start of the month comments like we'll leave it to the last minute again we always do.We then sign our players early in the month.Damned if you do damned if you don't.Having said that I kept hoping to get another defender in until 11.oclock.The fact that we didn't didn't make me lose any sleep.Hopfully if they have an out of contract target and he's fit and freshly released from his present club so be it.Are you keeping alright mate?

Why does that surprise you? Its about supply and demand. Players you want may not become available until their parent club wishes to make them available - so you have to wait or move on. Same with non-contract players, the players you may like may have only just become available so you couldn't have got them before.

My point was about it being at the very last minute, not that they are available
