I see ITV are using similar election tactics to last time. They've anchored their entire evening news bulletin from Wrexham, because it's a traditional Labour seat where voters are supposedly deserting them in droves. They did the same in 2017 from Hartlepool and Coventry. Labour subsequently held both seats comfortably. Why not for once find a Conservative seat they are perceived to be struggling in.

Sadly, the mainstream channel’s political news reporting has been appalling for a while now. The BBC has become as someone put it on here a short while ago, ‘Tory Central’ The relative lack of reporting/ talking about policies/ manifestos and increased reporting of mudslinging seems to be the way.

To be fair, wasn't it a couple of ITV/Granada reporters who have been the first all campaign to actually hold Johnson to account today? While the big names at the BBC are tweeting lies from "senior Conservative sources" about Matt Hancock's aide being punched (he wasn't), Joe Pike from ITV News nailed Johnson for putting the phone on which he was being shown footage of the NHS being underfunded in his pocket and trying to carry on with the interview.

It was nick robinson of the bbc who let Johnson off when someone in the audience asked about the border down the Irish Sea .
Instead of answering he tried rabble rousing against JC and was never held to answer the question yet he wouldn’t allow JC to explain.

I saw that interview. Absolutely disgusting behaviour that unfortunately for him, shows him as
he really is viz: totally uncaring.

The scary thing for me is that it's such a massive gaffe that it makes no sense at all that he'd do it at this stage in the campaign. It might sound like a conspiracy theory but literally the only way I can make it work is if he does this stuff all the time, and Joe Pike just didn't get the memo that as a journalist you're supposed to put up with it or you won't get another interview. Big echoes of the Thick of It.

Personally I thought the way Andrew Neil savaged Boris Johnson for not participating in an interview was political commentary at its very best and I'd be loathe to to claim bias towards the Conservative party after that. That's not to say mistakes haven't been made, but I think they're poor judgement not bias.

Point me to any 'honest mistakes' (as admitted by the BBC) that BBC journalists have made this election campaign that would have favoured labour. Point me to any instance in which they've been nailed for unquestioningly quoting flat out lies from 'senior labour sources'. Spoilers: you probably can't. And if you can find one I can counter it with three on the other side.

I'll grudgingly accept that the bias is towards the government of the day rather than the tories in particular, but if you think that they've been biased towards anybody other than the tories this election then you're politically illiterate.

That was journalism though (or at least interviewing). It wasn't a 'mistake' that inadvertently painted Labour or Corbyn in a good light. Plenty of them have gone the other way.

This is exactly what conservative voters think too.

I have never voted conservative I’m just saying that everyone thinks the media is against their side.

Like I say, point to them. I was pro-BBC before this election and would love to remain so. More than happy to change my opinion.

Watched the programme on the election tonight. Have to say I'm never surprised at the
gullibility of some people. When asked what his voting choices were, a bloke replied
" A lying buffoon or a Marxist." The reporter said " so who will it be.?", to which the bloke
replied " the lying buffoon. Some people never ever learn.

You only anchor a news bulletin from a particular place when something big and of consequence has happened there. A spurious prediction that Labour will lose a seat isn't a good reason to send Mary Nightingale and the whole studio crew there.

Claiming to be a labour voter whilst smearing with untruths and Tory propaganda?
The vitriol you are spewing is definitely not from a Labour Voter past , present or future.
Why people come out with the I’m a labour voter then spew out vitriol that proves they never have is beyond me .
