Journalist walk out of No 10 https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/ukne...nsons-brexit-plans/ar-BBZBEL6?ocid=spartandhp
Nothing but a bully. But has not the intelligence to face awkward questions. Obviously no fridge to hide in.
Dominic Cummings, Johnson's 'special adviser' is running this. An unelected official, he's not even a member of the Tory party. This is just the beginning.
They wanted Brexit done because they'd voted for it and "won" the referendum, despite that meaning another 5 years of this abortion of a Prime Minister and Party running the country into the ground. And Brexit probably making things worse. But as long as they get to celebrate "winning" the referendum then nothing else matters.
Cummings engineered the whole Leave Campaign. If you want to know why we REALLY left the EU watch this. 32 minutes but worth it. Cummings explains he conned the whole country. Now given this is to con-artists like advertising people the audience reaction is surprising. They can see what he's said is the biggest piece of mass-manipulation in recent politics. The first question is 'Do you feel guilty about what you've done?" His answer - "Not in the slightest." He then goes on to give his reason - the real reason - we had to leave. Cummings is in control of the show now. Johnson is just his 'useful idiot.'
It was pretty standard procedure today and has happened under governments of different colours for decades. Certain journalists were invited to a technical briefing (The Guardian were there) but some other journalists got wind of it and turned up uninvited. When they were told to go away other invited journalists walked out too. Personally I'd have just allowed them all to stay but it's not some great Brexit conspiracy.
The press response does not match your comment of "pretty standard procedure". The likes of the BBC, ITN, Sky and Guardian all reputedly walking out suggests that something other than normal happened.
Sick of apologists looking for excuses for ***** behaviour. It happened, don’t defend it. Call it out for what it is.
If that is aimed at me then perhaps try reading my post again. I didn't defend it, I just explained the circumstances as I understand them. It's not being an apologist, its called listening to both sides and debating.
They did walk out, for the reasons I stated; that is not being disputed. The inviting of journalists to technical briefings is the element I referred to as standard.
