tods today I meant. I am happy with the signing but a bit disappointed we did not get another striker, which was heavily hinted at.
Totally happy with the signing of Oduor, but we are a bit thin on the ground upfront mate, which does concern me.
Very disappointed we couldn't get a striker in, while I understand if the right players aren't available then we don't want to be panic buying. But we chose to sell Moore.
So it would seem a replacement for Kieffer Moore has not happened despite all the names put forward. Let's hope Cauley remains fit and healthy all season. I am right in thinking loan players too cannot be signed since the window closed at 5pm?
I take it you're writing off Chaplin, Miller, Brown then? You're not on your own, there's quite a lot who have decided they're not good enough, even before they've been given an opportunity at this level. I'm glad I'm thick and don't know anything about football, as those that do have already made up their minds. So they must be correct.
we will have to see, maybe we have a lad in our u23's to step up. but with just 4listed forwards if we get disciplinaries or injuries it could hit us hard.... and Brown is out just now, so really have just 3
At first look we appear weaker up front, the main change being Moore out and Chaplin in. I think most of us hoped that we would have strengthened noticeably for the Championship. Time will tell and hopefully some of the potential in the summer signings is realised. We do look reliant on Cauley and hopefully he stays fit and healthy for the duration.
You are not thick Lil. As a seasoned fan of many years experience, I always appreciate your views. I for one, am extremely pleased with the business done up to today, although we might come to regret letting Moore go, before we had signed a suitable replacement. When he came in, I believe I recall that Dane Murphy said his main job was to finish the job started by Paul Conway with regards to any new signings. It's hardly his fault if Clubs won't sell the players we have made an offer on, or that they demand unrealistic fees, or the player himself opts to sign for a different Club because they are offered more money.
