In the iPhone Settings app, go to Bluetooth and find the entry for your headset. Tap the circled i (for information) button next to it. Tap Forget This Device to unpair the headset

    Have you tried unplugging them?

In all seriousness what's actually happening and what do you want to happen?

Likely hood is there is something stuck in the port making the phone think there is something in there.
It’s unlikely you can see anything obvious, but put a torch on and look inside, could just be some fluff etc.
Oddly enough in the last 2 weeks my daughters have had cheap chargers snap off and leave a tiny part inside that was almost unnoticeable, check the headphone lead for damage.

Hold Home button & off at the same time, for 10 seconds. It’s a general, safe cure all. Then turn it back on.
If problem persists, see a doctor..:)

Either there's something in there or one of the little metal bits that gets pushed in when something is, hasn't retracted again properly. Take a q-tip with the fluff part removed, or a paperclip squeezed together, push it in and spin it around a few times to dislodge it.

Reminds me of the story (almost certainly apocryphal) of an IT support guy... I'll not give the full story but it was here someone phoned up to say their brand new computer was not working... no lights, no display no nothing...dead. After going through the check list, the customer was asked if it was plugged in at the back OK, any cables dislodged etc etc and if plug in the wall socket was OK. The customer replied he could not see very easily as he was using a torch because it was dark. 'Why is it dark?' asked the support guy.. " 'cos we have a power cut" came the reply.
The exasperated support guy lost his cool and told the customer he should pack it up and put it back in the box to return it. The customer asked "Is it that serious a problem then?" to which the support guy said... "It is. People like you should never be allowed near fu*cing computers!"
    He was fired.
