    Hs2 became a financial issue once the truth started to get out... every Chairman said to Parliament that the project was on time and on budget at £Xb.. then left, the next Chairman repeats on time and on budget at £20b higher... then left, there are only so many times you can repeat the con trick before people became suspicious.

    The new initiative is ‘knock down the north’ a project to move everything south because hey that IS the UK right

    Only the Torys can get away with celebrating the success of cancelling a northern part of a project to benefit the south. Of course the body managing this is a national org, the naming of which rubs salt into the wounds.

    A sad bit is that many people will still vote for them in some snowblind way that they will serve the people. Even sadder is we have no viable challengers who inspires confidence.
