From your favorite (or least favorite) American, religious, capitalist loving, freedom loving Barnsley fan Despite differences with many of you over off topic things, I still truly love this team and most of you. I've said before there's nothing like cheering on a "small" team, when we win it actually means something to all of us. I can't wait to get back to the UK soon, back to Oakwell as soon as possible. Last season really reignited my love the entire sport, plus the Euros this year I've absolutely loved from the very start. Hopefully England can do it and I'll be there after it's come home haha. There has been a lot of changes this year for Barnsley already but I think the culture and mentality has shifted a little. I don't think we are "teams like Barnsley" anymore, we've proven that we are a team that can kick *ss and compete with anyone. So far we have only lost two players.. I'm hoping to not jinx that because honestly I'm very happy with only losing two players and getting in replacements. Unless we have a team of all stars like Messi, Neymar, Ronaldo etc then no one is irreplaceable. But anyways just a little post. Hope you're all enjoying your weekend and the England victory and what have you and yeah, looking forward to being back.
Happy Independence Day Tomaiba. I notice you're from St George who happens to be the patron Saint of England. Is that your connection to us? Also, what's the explanation behind your user name?
My knowledge of independence day is from little house on the prairie and going into town for lemonade and firecrackers!
Got shut on us cos of the slave trade. 90yrs later. Feightin among thessens over it. Nearly 200 yrs later, still had segregation. 250 yrs later, the klan still exist.
Makes me laugh when they say they won the war. They didn't. Britain ran out of money and decided to stop going over and fighting gorilla wars. The then Empire could have still been fighting them now if they'd wanted. Well shut of America and the Empire. Nothing but a drain on money and lives.
