Hannes Wolf Football Manager Hannes Wolf is a German football manager, currently unemployed after most recently managing Genk in the Belgian First Division A. Wolf is set to be named Barnsley FC head coach on the 30th September 2020, replace Gerhard Struber. Wolf is the younger brother of Wolf from Gladiators, they both like to stalk the cold damp streets looking for their prey, so he should fit right in at Barnsley. Once prey is found, Wolf takes them back to his lair, usually a cardboard box at the side of a busy motorway, where he then proceeds to devour his victim and drain them of their blood. The Barnsley board believe these training methods will bring out the best in players such as the useless Austrian contingent they stupid signed over the last couple of seasons.
Someone posted this the other day and I've been ruminating a little about it since. Not a criticism of the OP and I'm sure many will feel I'm just having a sense of humour failure but Wikipedia will have been around for 20 years come January, surely by now the joke of editing it to post crap like this has run its course. It's a groundbreaking site and a tremendous resource but it's frequently undermined by its very strength - the ability of anyone to edit it, which was funny for a while in the noughties. I've made one or two edits over the years and I went to great lengths to verify that the information I was adding (or rather correcting) was accurate. I'd have been mortified if I'd made a mistake. There are countless volunteers who dedicate a lot of their time to maintaining and managing its pages. I wish people would show a bit more respect for it rather than treating it like a toilet wall.
Like you not criticising op, but to take Wikki on face value is being a little naive to say the least.
Agreed and I'm not suggesting anyone should do that, but there's a world of difference between accepting that it's simply one source of information that should be cross-verified wherever possible and just chalking f**k on it and deliberately littering it with misinformation, however "humourous".
