Surprised to see we’ll be wearing this one again today.

While we’ve dismissed all notion of superstition by being objectively awful in all circumstances, I don’t understand how the green kit, which has proven to cause problems for the colourblind can be preferred to wearing red against a team that will be in white?

I believe we’ll be wearing red in the other five fixtures. If that’s any consolation.

The green kit is the most popular away kit we’ve had, in terms of sales, but based on the colour blindness issues, I doubt we’ll be using one like that again. Back to basics next season.

I think a white away strip next season and a yellow one between Nov to Feb easier to hide the ball then from the oppos.

I do like the green shirt, in fact I bought one. And it’s only as the season went on, that I became aware of the colour blind issue. So not critical of the decision to produce that kit, as that would be entirely based on hindsight. Just surprised that today the decision was made to wear it, i’m assuming by the match officials, when there was a more inclusive option.

As I've said before when kit threads are posted, it's decided amongst officials from both clubs with sign off by the match officials. I've no idea why it's green today.

Not being picky Whitey, genuine question - isn't the colour blind issue equally as pertinent when we wear red?

I'm no expert on the issue, so wouldn't want to speak out of turn.

All I know, is that our department suggested a 'reimagining' of the 94/95 green Pelada shirt, and the club went with it. But your kit designs for one season are signed off a couple of months into a current season. So, basically, that green kit was signed off when Gerhard Struber was still here. Which is a while ago. And then, over that season, we came across the colour blindness issues, and I think it was Italian football that put a stop to them? I'm not 100% on that. So I think it's unlikely we'll go down that route again.

I think the main issues are when it's green versus red. But again, I'm no expert. But yeah, the Stoke City games will have been an issue. Middlesbrough too I guess.

I don't see an issue next season. But, I've no idea what kit we'll wear on any given day because I don't have any involvement.

My bad, thought you’d said that suggestions were put to the match officials, who then ultimately decided. I’ll read with both eyes open next time!
