Derby thoroughly deserved the win. On the whole we were bloody awful. No questioning the effort but we are woefully short on quality. Halme is doing well in the holding midfield role but I’d move him to centre half. Surely we have better players in that position to cover for him than the two ******* donkeys we have at centre half. Just witnessed a worse performance by Bahre than he put in at Shrewsbury. I never thought I’d witness it but I have. At least the manager had the balls to sub him early. Impressed by Simoes when he came on. At least he tried unlike Bahre before him. Odour did well at left back too.
Our defence were beat before kick off . They surrendered straight away Anderson was a mistake, Diaby may be ok with someone around him that knows the first thing about defending . Our full backs need someone to take charge they are having to learn the hard way . a defensive midfielder is a must . Struber is tactically sound imo he needs backing in jan . I’m less convinced about staying up although never say never but drastic action is needed we can’t surrender from kick off because of the opposition .
If Simoes can make that number 10 role his own that would enable Woodrow to play further upfield which immediately makes us a better team. If the gaffer doesn’t fancy Dougall I’d bring in a defensive midfielder to partner Mowatt, put Halme at Center back and bring in a new signing to partner him. If Wilks and Thiam are both off then a new winger is required too.
