I heard a rumour that we were due to sign a keeper before the window shut. I am very happy with Davies but I do wonder if Townend is adequate back up / competition to push Davies and if Walton ready to step in?

Although I feel Townend is a good shot stopper I have not been convinced he has what it takes make it at this level. I would like to see an experienced keeper come in on a short term deal, or young talent e.g. likes of Adam Smith (Northampton) or Joe Wildsmith (Owls).

    Any news?

If we could offload Townsend and get in abit of experience or a cheap loan keeper as No2 that would be good but it would be a waste signing an expensive keeper just to sit on the bench behind Davies. Also a no to Wildsmith he was average last time he was here and would cost a wedge as he's highly rated

I'd like to see another come in on loan better than Townsend but striving to get to Davies's level I'd like to see competition for the Goalie spot but 2 goalies we can trust because every time Townsend is in the sticks I'm nervy about how many we will let in.

I'd be looking to sign a experienced goalkeeper. Do you know what I mean???
