Remember Egan Bernel it looks like he's back to his best took the Mia Rosa today on stage 9 on a mountain Finnish beating all the other big favorites pretty easily and taking the stage. There's a long way to go yet though. Yates is 55 seconds back.

I’m a bit gutted about Yates, I was hoping he was back to his best with his performance in the Tour of Alps. I’m rooting for him & Hugh Carthy. I think Carthy can win the race. There’s got to be question marks over Bernal’s fitness & I fancy Evanpoel to blow up at some stage. Buchman & Hindley look off it & I think Nibali’s days of challenging for wins are done. Bardet’s looking back on form though & so is Dan Martin. Should be a fun, unpredictable race anyway.

Carthy was so strong in the Vuelta last year & never had a bad day. I think he can outlast a lot of the favourites.

I think Bardet's left the tour for some reason Django I'll check on that later,
