Listening in to commentary and Gubbins has just sneaked his way to a hundred having survived a good shout for a catch off Sidebottom. Ryan very peeved that he didn't walk. We should have had him a couple of times earlier as well. Need a couple more wickets tonight

Looking at the score, the wicket, Middlesex's attack and Yorkshire's thin batting line-up I think our best chance has gone with all those dropped catches, Rafiq's being particularly costly.

Off for bad light. Gubbins still there, the cheat!

Somerset were going like a train with two centurions, both of them out now.

It's hard to see us winning that third successive title but you never know. Three days to go and all results are possible.

Will be such a shame though if Dizzy leaves with no trophies in the cupboard for this season.

Somerset gone from.300 for 4 to 322 for 9. Still need 27 for 4th batting pts . If they get 3 we need to score 300 and win the game. Still on

With a nearly new ball there's no reason why we can't get them out cheaply tomorrow morning.

    It's far from over

I'm not saying it's over but the day could have gone better. Two catches that should have been taken and one that was but not given. I wouldn't like to predict who will finish on top of the pile by Friday evening.

its looking like a must win game for m'sex too,
i don't think they'll now get enough bonus pts to play for a draw, surprised those at lords didn't import some rain clouds to cover Taunton

Hope we win, but let's face it Middlesex beat us by an innings in Leeds and Somerset beat us by 10 wks in Scarborough should have put better performances up.

Got them out for 270 with three bowling points in the bag. Brooks career best 6 for 65.

It's simple now - get 350 runs in 110 overs, win the match and then it doesn't matter what the wurzel chompers do down at Taunton!

Bowled well this morning and caught much better, just think that the horse may have bolted yesterday and is now half way down Baker Street. Hope I'm wrong.

game over, bye bye title. Really hope Somerset win the championship now.

still a good season regardless with the amount of players they were unable to field.

could do with signing a keeper who can bat int summer to cover for Bairstow

Has there ever been a more annoying batsman than Gary Ballance? I would cancel his contract this summer. He needs a fresh start. Lees has not progressed as he should have and Gale is probably finished now. So weak in the top order and we are in the ludicrous position of starting the "tail" at number five. I'll be amazed if we get 200 this innings.

If we can't have it I hope Somerset get their first ever title. Anyone except Middlesex!

Whole thing stinks. Why are Finn and Stokes playing for their counties yet Root and Bairstow are blocked.

Andrew Strauss. Wonder which county he played for. It is corrupt. And blatant.

Lees had over a thousand runs this season so he's done well. Anyone who reaches the magical four figures can be happy with their form. I do agree with Gale though who cannot keep his place just because he's a captain. In this match he didn't want to bat first to get runs on the board so we can dictate our own pace, left out an England international and played too many seamers which weakened the batting line up.

I said the same the other day but of course they will say "what's the matter - you've got Plunkett and Ballance". Hm, ok - Ballance is virtually useless just lately and Plunkett couldn't get in.

I'm not questioning Lees's stats this season, but I am disappointed that he did not get to the England opening slot ahead of Alex Hales. It must be at least three year since Boycott said he was the next big thing as an opener. Well, he's taking his time getting there. And in a game that we have GOT to win he failed. Let's hope he gets a double hundred in the second innings.

Sadly, I think the title has gone

Just my opinion, nothing more. I don't think I need to have a word with anyone about it.

We'd have been fighting relegation if it wasn't for Bresnan. Hes carried this team for about 4/5 years without the England players.
