    I guess the question to ask for any ex-player is, if they had no previous history with the club, would we be interested?

    There is absolutely zero evidence in his coaching history to suggest he'd do a good job for us. People are writing off a guy who has four promotions on his cv. Why on earth would we appoint someone who has not even a quarter of that? Absolute sentimental madness.
    Sorry for the rant and I appreciate that the op isn't actively suggesting we go for him.

    Big no for me Redfearn.

    Yes at Academy level, but no for seniors - just never done well at this level. He only did ok at Leeds as he stepped up from the Academy so knew most anyway.
