This must be the only government in history that is actually strengthened by ministers resigning!

Well good news for the students badly affected by a stupid policy decision
No idea what that means for uni admisions this year - hard to think the Government have thought that one through yet
Not so good that a load of people have had to endure several days of unnecessary stress
Good that they made a U turn
Incredibly bad that they didnt actually plan to prevent this
but I dont think the current shower are into planning

The words "a brewery P1ssup couldnt organinse" are all the words that apply - but not necessarily in the right order

If the fooker isn't sacked I'd quite happily hunt him down. My lad just turned 16 and didn't get to take his exams. Not his fault
    I know.

But the aftermath has been absolutely handled like *****. My lad shatting it for Thursday. The biggest and most important day of his life....... and blowks entrusted to make decisions that effect lads n lasses futures can't even do their well paid and influential jobs properly. An absolute **** show.

Sacked? This is more worthy of a public flogging, the amount of teenagers he has caused sleepless nights.
It’s bloody child abuse is what it is, mentally torturing kids. I’d sack him alright, sack straight over his head and noose round his neck!!!

It's not only an 'A' level and GCSE cockup - many BTec students haven't had their results - some were hoping to go to University - with no results they can't even apply and places are filling up fast.

Also there is a problem for students already on courses - 'A' level students too date have missed more than a whole term of their two year course.
A Physiotherapy student at college has to complete 1000 hours practical work over the three years to qualify - not going to be possible for those already on the course having missed 4 months tuition.

The whole education system is fkd up!

Well they havent sacked Handcock Cummings Patel the housing guy etc - why sack WIlliamson
only people who get sacked are those who dont do exactly as they are told - like the guy on the intelligence committee who(correctly) decided he was more competent than Grayling to chair it

My girls got their Btec results and luckily got enough for both of them to get their uni place. They have had an email.from their teacher saying they are looking at changing them - they should be ok though

Can't fathom what it will take for any of these jokers to actually get sacked.

There was nothing wrong with the algorithm. It did what Cummings intended it to do.

He believes that exams have become far too easy. He also believes that intelligence is hereditary and that only the most privileged should go to university. Those from poorer backgrounds aren’t worth bothering with, so he intends to take us back to the Victorian era.

By the way this isn’t my opinion, it’s all on his blog if you can be bothered to wade through his smug, self-serving ravings.

We don’t have a government. We have Cummings and his algorithms. Brexit next. Who gets to eat when the food runs out and who doesn't? Sure Doms working on that one.

I sometimes think that Cummings isn't the most intelligent voice in his own head.... At other times I'm certain that is the case.

Its not just universities. I'm not sure what has happened now, but at least one child lost an apprenticeship - worth a job, a degree and ~£80000 over the next few years as a result of the downgrading.
