    Didn't Andy Cole leave Arsenal for Bristol City, then Newcastle, and then Champions League winner?

    He had already dropped down he was on loan at rotherham he was top scorer in league one by some distance. Mick recalled him and then decided he still wanted to sell him, mick was playing some poor strikers infront of him at Ipswich at the time and he started scoring as soon as we signed him even under a clueless coach in morais the season after he was one of league ones top scorers and our top scorer with 3 months out with injury.

    You could suggest if he'd have taken his chances more we wouldn't have been relegated under Morais.

    Sometimes your time is up at a certain club regardless, and as we know with Kiefer and his agent he's not afraid to push moves away regardless. They did well at the time to get £750k from us so was good business all round I think all things considered.

    True but I think ipswich fans may disagree i remember many been unhappy he wasn't given more of a chance by mick after doing so well on loan.

    I'd be happy to see mick as manager here(not that it would happen) but not sure some would be so keen on his direct style or shithouse tactics. I'd miss us passing it from Collins around the back 3 and back again.
