I thought that, and it's wrong. Yes, the club should do thorough checks, but the idiot should not take them into the ground in the first place.
If you’re hosting an event the onus is on you to make it as safe and pleasant as possible . It’s like saying I’m hosting a party but I’m not willing to be responsible for any unpleasantness or accidents . If you can’t guarantee people’s safety as reasonably as you can the event should not go ahead , the people you have sold tickets to are your responsibility .
I know what you are saying, and to a certain extent, I agree, but what gets me is a 17 year old is old enough to know of the actions of what they are doing.
Of course they are and hopefully they will, the courts will or should punish the individual but the FA or EFL will punish the club .
There should at least be a sign warning that any one bringing explosives into the ground, will get a rocket up their ‘arris.
