Agree. The Premier League have already said they won’t bail the championship clubs out either. Not gonna end well this. All for a few clubs and their own entitlement.
I’ve a good theory on how to make more money from tv. Get promoted.

This is because they are so ridiculously bending the rules and getting into massive debt, they think they should get more. I can’t imagine championship games are worth that much to sky...?

It's one of the most watched leagues in the world and has the richest game in football. They already share premier league and lost many other events like La Liga, US Open tennis, Master tennis series, Australian home cricket games, Golf and many others such as champions league. They need content for their channels so championship owners probably think Sky will come back with a bigger offer. I don't think Sky will though as they don't get involved in bidding wars these days.

At the same time, it’s the second tier of football. Sky are good at selling anything as amazing.... Im thinking a Watford v Brighton and such... But in reality they like the pinnacle of whatever sport it is.

They’d be better spending less on a different first division of a foreign league or golf, cricket, rugby or motor racing in my opinion..

I prefer watching championship to premier league personally as it’s more competitive

To be honest I'd be far more interested in watching, say, a south American league than any of our lot. Far more exotic and intriguing than Bournemouth v Burnley.

Doesn't it have the 4th highest attendance after the top leagues in UK, Germany and Italy? There's certainly an audience for it.

Sheffield Wednesday released a statement on this
“As at least 63% of people in the galaxy are Wednesday fans, we believe that we should receive an extra £14.9 million per game and 7 points for a win. This would enable us to play our best players for the entire season and not have to scrimp on their appearance money after February.
It would also treat our 17 squillian fans to closely follow the biggest club in the world to our dream of annually bottling our play offs”
    The football league candidly replied
    “Smell thi mother”

What can the championship clubs do realistically if they don't like it other than get themselves promoted!?
