An utter embarrassment how they put in so much effort in their cup final agasint us and then go down with a whimper against the league leaders. I actually thought they would give Luton a real test today but clearly not. I'm glad they've fallen out the top 6 and hope it stays that way until the end of the season.
Embarrassing result for them today, shouldn't be getting battered by anyone at this stage of the season if you're serious about going up.
Suppose it reinforces the fact that we have to look after our own results and don’t look to others.
Think that result may damage their chances of automatic promotion. Still, only 21 points behind 2nd and 24 to play for. There's still hope for them!!
QUOTE="DEETEE, post: 2267321, member: 54059"]Yet one of four teams to beat Luton this season..[/QUOTE] That was 6.5 months ago so not really relevant to what is happening here and now at the business end of the season.
This result just proves how bad Donny are. They were abysmal against us. If we had been a bit more inventive and braver against them we would have battered them. They were there for the taking. And yet we had a load of people on here praising how good we were to get a draw against them. When in fact we were crap against Donny
Donny fan at work was bemoaning the loss of Kane and Whiteman before the game today and it proved correct for him to do so. Losing key players has an impact on performance and results, who knew? I (still) think an away point at Donny was a decent one considering the players we were missing, their position in the table and the seemingly fact that they always seem to have one over on us.
We were worse today than we was at Donny. I was more disappointed with the Sunderland result than the Donny one.Main point is, we keep getting these knock-backs yet keep grinding these vital points out.
We were crap first half partly because we don't have sufficient decent players to cover when others are unavailable.
Just watched the highlights, Luton looked absolutely superb. Looked like it could have been 7 or 8. Donny looked like a FIFA team on the easiest level, the ones that just stand around and kick the ball to you.
Only been playing 14 minutes against Bristol Rovers. James Coppinger has scored both their goals inside two and twelve minutes.
