How do they rate compared to Brentford?

Barely dare say it after suggesting we were a bet today, but Derby are nearly 2/1 with Bet365 for Wednesday!

On the plus side for him after being told he could spend 15 months without playing, at least his good looks weren't harmed.....

    That's some gash.......

Derby have now completed their enquiry into the crash involving Keogh, Bennett and Lawrence.
As we know, Bennett and Lawrence were fined and warned as to their future conduct.

They have announced today, that with immediate effect, they have cancelled the contract of
their 33 year old skipper Richard Keogh.

Absolutely ****** if he appeals unless there are some facts that have been kept hidden.

Three employees get drunk and get into two cars. Passenger gets fired, drink driving criminals get a warning.

Odd that they sack the man (a) not driving at the time and (b) is unable to play for 14 months. The two drivers, who coincidentally are fit to play, not sacked.

No resale value to Keogh, out of contract in summer

Agree, looks pretty disgusting to me. Sack the highest earner who can't play all season? They are playing fast and loose with FFP and their ground sale, so seem to be a pretty morally bankrupt set up.

To be fair, he got drunk and got into a car knowing the driver was also drunk and suffered injuries that will stop him working all season. Why should Derby be expected to pay him 1.3 million pounds during the time he spends recovering. It's not their fault that their employee is a reckless plank.

No it isnt but you can't issue differing disciplinary action based on whether or not you think the employee is useful or not

I don't disagree that the other two should be sacked as well. Absolutely they should. I just don't have any sympathy for Keogh having been sacked.

Surely he can take them for unfair dismissal based on what's happened to the other two players unless as you point out there are some hidden facts we haven't been made aware of.

I don't see that there are any hidden facts. They are in plain sight. He can't do his job because of a reckless out of work hours decision that he made.

"Sorry, I cant offer any service for the money you pay me for the next year and a half and that's totally my fault, but if you stop paying me anyway I consider that to be unfair"

    Jog on.
