up top, some great pressing but at the back, we really do look like an accident waiting to happen.

Halme and Andersen look too slow to play the high press, and our full backs aren’t good enough defensively.

The high press of the front six leaves us very vulnerable and open at the back. We need somebody sat in front of the back four to protect them, because as it stands we aren’t good (scoring) enough to justify leaving the defence completely open every time the opposition counters.

Cavare looks the most composed out of our back 5, not sure I’d ever say that

The defensive line looks very high up the pitch when we are pressing. If Brentford manage to pass their way out they are straight onto our defence.

It takes months to create an effective defensive unit. Starting the season with a new back 5 was just plain daft regardless of the individual merits of current or past players.

Started off well. Faded last 20. These r gd on the ball. Defence is too slow apart from cavare. Chaplin been very poor and should of made it 2-0 just b4 they scored. Christ knows how watkins disnt make it 1-2. Id took chaplin off and put malik on. May be his game wet greasy conditions

Personally I'd swap sides with Williams and cavare. Williams I think is struggling on the left. He'd fair better in his natural position and cavare can do left which we've already seen

I would say 'ball retention' more than 'defensively'. For me we look weak down the left, Thomas and Williams have given the ball away more than anyone else. Thomas needs to change his boots cos he's been on the deck more than Captain Birdseye. Very nervy in defence but then retain possession and we don't need to worry. Even though Brentford have an attacking threat, so do we, and they are there for the taking. We've created enough chances but never look like scoring from corners, so wasteful!

Brentford frustrating to play against though. The shove on Woodrow and the pulling and shoving from corners are glaring errors from the officials in failing to spot them. Keep pressing and tighten up at the back, game is ours.

    COYR!!

How has Chaplin been poor? Are you watching the same game as me?!

Chaplin's playing well, chasing a lot down. I'd take Thomas off for Wilks.

Chaplins played very well for us so far, I thought Thomas is good defensively for us but he’s faded offensively as the games got on and I’d be looking at fetching Wilks on for him soon

The silver lining there is they should get better and better. The positional mistakes and uncertainties as to who is marking who should start to iron out. So there's that.

We don’t have the time. These players, as a unit, aren’t good enough for this Division. We will be relegated if significant change isn’t made after we’ve limped through to January.

I still think we’d struggle with Pinnock and Lindsay at the back.
