    I thought they were skint?
Could be a good signing if he's got his life back on track.

Rahman , Hoilette , Dann , Drinkwater and possibly Carroll. The embargo clearly having a massive affect on the club

Lee Bowyer just been on Talksport.. Deeney taken a massive pay cut to join Brum. And he can't believe they've such a player for "relatively little" outlay.
Player wanted the move, so move happened.. great bit of business

Deeney is a life long Birmingham City fan so obviously done his bit to make his dream of finally playing for them happen.

That's right... but this thread was about clubs over spending. Its looking like that Brum have not done that to get there man.

He'll have taken a paycut no doubt. I bet he's still on at least double that of our highest earner though.

I'd imagine the word 'relatively' is doing a lot of heavy lifting in that phrase.

Yep, on £65k at Watford, so even slashed to £20k is a big reduction but still well out of reach.

Apparently all wages at Reading capped at 8.5K. I guess Chelsea will be picking up the slack.

the signings have to be vetted and agreed by the EFL. Max wages they can pay is 8.5k. Still dodgy AF though.
