I'm inclined to believe if there had been nothing doing at all then it would be easily denied. I'm also not sure how much or often players, managers and their agents are in contact with other clubs. My belief is that he did his best for us during his time here. I suspect his reluctance to sign a new contract was because he felt he couldn't perform as he wished to given the boards stance. I also feel if I were a Hearts fan I'd be annoyed if the feed switched off the minute they stopped talking about Barnsley.
