Fantastic memorial opened in Normandy, to honour the sacrifices made by the 22,000 men under British command who died on that day and in the ensuing battle of Normandy.
Every name recorded, with their ages (many only 18 or 19 years old)

Sometimes it's good to take a step back from the arguments, bickering, fallouts, hatred, etc and put it into perspective and try to imagine what these guys went through on the last day of their lives. The terror, pain, suffering they endured should never be forgotten.

Life is short anyway so enjoy it while you can

These frightened young men never got the chance, but they fought and fell so we could enjoy our freedoms.

    Lest we forget
