I think Payne might be better than Bradshaw, he's done more in his cameos than Bradshaw has done in a lot more time.

Yes Bradshaw is a good player, but we could actually do summat this season (cursed it) and we need to be playing our most effective players all the time.

Based on 3 1/2 games! Trust the manager. Bradshaw is taking time to adapt, he will be ok.

Whilst it is clear that Payne seems more effective at present, Bradshaw will, I believe, only improve with more game time.

Payne hits the post off a 1 on 1 in the last 10 minutes.

He seemed to be given the chance, rather than create it.

Oddjob will forever be remembered for missing just about the same kind of opportunity.

    These things happen.

But not hitting the target means its fair to have a moan.

Achievement is not within the equation.

Letting in multiple goals in 80% of our games so far and all our wide players underperforming are the two things I think are costing us the most so far.

Lets be honest they were the best team in fact I don't think we turned up til Half time and by the end several looked as tho they had done the charity walk.

Just the defence and the wingers struggling then?

The other 4 are performing superbly.

As I've said before Payne is more suited to the hoofing we keep doing to the front 2. Until we play to Bradshaws strengths,I'll reserve judgement. We've scored goals upto now without fizzing balls across the 6yrd box

I'd play Payne with Bradshaw & change 1 of wingers for Watkins

The central players of Roberts, Mawson, Hourihane, Scowen and Watkins have started the season well. Spending over half a million on Moncur seems a waste when he's never given game time even as a sub. Both our right backs look shakey and White has no competition on the other flank. In front of our full backs Hammill isn't upto speed yet and Kent can run fast but doesn't seem to like shooting and overplays the ball to often to lose it.

All will come with game time though, just some thoughts :)

I think the team as a whole has started well.

Watkins is erratic. Like Winnall, just when he's been crap he's good, and the same in reverse.

Hammill exposes lesser opponents. The same will not apply so often in this league.

Kent is exciting. When you run that fast though you tend to lose a measure of control. He has a bullet shot but doesn't get his head sufficiently over the ball.

    We could have won today.

But if any team deserved it, they did.
