As long as any takeover doesn't put the long term safety of the club in jeapody through chasing the dream. And as long as they understand we are a club who remember our roots and believe in our community and people. Hecky best be going nowhere as well. Tears are just around the corner for Birmingham, villa, Wednesday and others if they don't go up in the next year or two. I don't want us to become like them. I'm sure PC will do what's best for the club. I have complete trust.
Looks like it's got some legs. He was the guy who was interested in Hull who Alexander Jarvis the chinese finance guy was overseeing, the bloke who Patrick Cryne had on his phone....
This is a very interesting development. A mate inboxed me about this a few days ago but told me to keep it to myself.
If this news has any momentum then this is the most important thread I've EVER read on this message board.
Promising. Best part of the article for me, is that Patrick Cryne could retain a small percentage of the Club. That would mean he could have a small say in our future direction of travel. We are seen as a " key purchase". I wonder what is being sold if indeed Mr Chien Lee is allowed a " full" takeover.? Does Another interesting bit is " not planning to plough huge finance into the Club but believe they can fund a tilt at promotion at Premier League promotion." Bring it on. Let's hope it all checks out and the safeguards can be put in place to make it happen.
If true we're closer to being no different from those we despise. "Sources in France have told Sportsmail the Championship club are seen as a key purchase as they look to expand their commercial portfolio." ******* brilliant. Nobody said. Ever.
There have been so many rumours of Italian businessmen etc in the past, It's hard to take it too seriously. How would you invest money like that for promotion in a club of our size and fanbase if it is linked to turnover in FFP ( joke that it is)? I thought that has always been the problem. Unless it's the case that with Hecky and the development structure we have it's felt just a relatively small gamble of an investment would see us challenging at the top.
It's very easy to get around ffp. For example the owner could get his business to sponsor the ground. That deal could be worth 100m therefore you have got around ffp. All the other clubs do it.
Club our size and fan base ??? Are you joking - if we got into the Premeirship the ground wouldn't be big enough.
I've just spoke to my mate.... this deal has been going on since February this year. The deal is extremely close and they're hoping it will be complete by the end of the month. Sounds like they will purchase the ground back of bmbc. Very interesting. I'll keep you all posted.
We are going up i said we are going up ok im getting in front of myself ...counting chickens...but for once we could be number one on the menu... can hear the chant now...... we are going up we are going up ....and weve spent **** all ....lol
