Having attended Friday nights match and comments made on here about what was said I feel I should put my own point if view.
As fans we are limited as to how we can put forward our own feelings as to how the club is being run and the sacking of manager Daniel Stendel recently the two of which are linked. Apart from the terraces how are supporters able to make their feelings known.? ..email the club , write a letter, The club itself has not been exactly forthcoming on its reasons for the sacking of DS and communication can come both ways. The meeting with the supporters trust would be one way the club and the fans can express reasoned views but time will tell. I don't agree with chanting insults about board members from the terraces but I suppose some supporters see as their only alternative. If the club would only explain publicly to the fans as to recent events alot of bridge building could take place. The fans after all only want Barnsley F C to progress but feel the motives of the board are open to question.

Can’t see anything being forthcoming , unfortunately it’s going to get worse in my opinion

I was disappointed too with the chanting on Friday.

only that it wasn’t loud and long enough. This is the way we as fans can let them know how frustrated we are. The “You’re killing our club, you greedy b**tards” was fitting in my opinion.

I do agree though I think it is only going to get worse.

Were there actually any insults or just opinions on their actions?

There was a chant for DS, we want Coway out say we want Conway out , sack the board sack the board. I didn't hear any personal insults beyond " greedy ********"

If the team could string a few results together then I think the situation might improve and the board respond in kind by showing intent to buy players at the first opportunity ie January them maybe things might get better but the handling of DS dismissal and subsequent silence from the board has led to distrust between the board and the supporters. The majority supporters now feel let down by the board on player transfers and longer term ambition. The boards failure to back a manager who they yes THEY appointed is a factor. Lots of supporters took Daniel Stendel to their hearts and we're dissatisfied with the way the whole thing was handled.

Very true. And the chants stopped when we scored.

Could it be that in going 2nil down the fans flustrations boiled over. The would hardly start chanting as the team poured forward in search of an equaliser would they? They were more preoccupied with urging the reds on! At two nil everybody there thought the game was all over.
